Yamato Mori, born in 2003 in Hokkaido, rose from a guitar prodigy to an acclaimed singer-songwriter. After winning Young Guitarist of the Year 2019 in London, he shifted focus from pure technique to expression, debuting with “Hibi” in 2021. His albums 69 Jewel Beetle (2023) and Let It Grow (2024) showcase both virtuosity and vulnerability, blending folk intimacy with bold band arrangements. Known for humility and authenticity, he represents a new generation of Japanese artists whose growth and potential continue to attract national and international attention.
